Mount Macleod wines are defined by the purity of the fruit grown with as little winemaking or oak influence as possible. Our aim is to show how wine purity can be enhanced by deep integration with ecology and the wines from year to year show both the progress and the risk inherent in this approach.  Examples of this over the years have included the introduction of native plants and grasses into the vineyard, spore banks, robotics and fire stick farming practices.  You should expect Mount Macleod wines to be a perfumed expression of these ongoing projects and show floral, earthy and fruity characters above all else.
